Victor Picos
ILS Specialist/CFS Case Manager
I’m honored to be part of the Self Determined Futures team, where I bring a strong passion for helping others achieve greater independence and access to resources. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from San Diego State University, and my professional background includes extensive experience in human resources, behavioral support, and sports program coordination.
Through my work with various nonprofits and community-based organizations, I’ve developed a deep commitment to empowering individuals and families. Whether it was managing payroll and recruitment at Chicano Federation, supporting youth through leadership-based soccer camps, or applying behavioral interventions with children on the autism spectrum, I’ve always focused on helping people grow, thrive, and feel supported. I also had the opportunity to work as a padel coach for kids, helping them build confidence, discipline, and a love for physical activity in a fun and engaging environment.
At Self Determined Futures, I assist individuals and their families by connecting them to vital community resources and guiding them through steps toward greater self-sufficiency. I believe in the power of compassion, structure, and personalized care to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and spending time with others. You can often find me on a soccer field or a padel court, enjoying the competitive spirit and camaraderie that sports bring. These activities keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance, discipline, and connection.
