Hello! I'm Broc Hunter, and I’m thrilled to be a part of the Self Determined Futures team.I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University and a range of experiences that have shaped my approach to helping others. Before completing my degree, I earned an EMT certification and an Associate's degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from San Diego Miramar College. I also had the opportunity to intern as a paramedic after finishing the didactic portion of paramedic school at EMSTA College here in San Diego.

Throughout my career, I’ve worn many hats, each one offering a unique perspective on helping individuals from diverse backgrounds. I began as an EMT, then worked as a physical therapy aide, and later served as a counselor for adolescents and teens. Each role has deepened my understanding of different communities, fueling my passion for supporting people as they work to improve their lives.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find me at the gym, lifting weights, or shooting hoops. I’m an avid reader, with a special interest in Eastern philosophy and fiction. As a proud San Diego Padres and New York Giants fan, I believe in the power of sports to bring people together and create a sense of community. I’m excited to bring my diverse experiences and passion for helping others to our community at Self Determined Futures, and I look forward to making a meaningful, positive change in people’s lives.
