Hi! I’m Laila, a San Diego–based professional dedicated to supporting the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. My journey began in high school with ASL courses and continued at Palomar College, where I studied Deaf Studies and completed the Interpreter Training Program. I am currently furthering my education by pursuing a BA in Communications through San Diego State University’s Global Campus. 

Throughout my career as a Job Coach and Independent Living Coach, I’ve been driven by a simple belief: everyone deserves the support and opportunity to reach their goals. Today, I am fortunate to be a CFS/ILS Manager at Self-Determined Futures, where I help individuals build their confidence and strengthen their independence.

To recharge, I love staying active. When I’m not working or studying, you can usually find me at a dance class, hiking up Cowles Mountain, or exploring local dog parks with my 6-year-old dog, Zenna!
