My name is Maria Carreno, and I am very excited to be part of the Self Determined Futures LLC family!  I have lived in San Diego and Mexico all my life and love the diverse culture this city has to offer.   I graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and I also hold an associate's degree in Psychology from Cuyamaca College.  After graduating, I worked in the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) field as a Behavior Technician with children with disabilities and their families. 

I have always known I wanted to provide support to those who need it the most and make an impact on people’s lives. I am bilingual, speaking English and Spanish, and I thrive on advocating for everyone.  

In my free time, I enjoy going out with friends to concerts, taking hikes, trying out new restaurants in town, watching the new horror movie in theaters, and spending time with my family in Mexico.  I also love traveling to different countries to gain new cultural experiences and also try new foods.
