My name is Sophie, and I am excited to be a part of the Self Determined Future's team. Originally from Lancaster, CA, I moved to San Diego five years ago to attend college and decided to stay after graduation. I love living in San Diego because of its diverse culture, beautiful scenery, and incredible food. I graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a bachelor's degree in Political Science, specializing in Race, Ethnicity, and Law, along with a minor in Ethnic Studies. After graduating, I worked as a Coordinated Family Support Specialist, supporting adults with disabilities and their families. I am passionate about helping individuals from diverse backgrounds navigate unique life challenges. I enjoy building meaningful connections, understanding people's experiences, and collaborating to find solutions that improve their quality of life. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish 

Outside of work, I enjoy playing video games on my PS5, attending concerts, and watching movies and TV shows. My favorite band is Twenty One Pilots, and I always look forward to seeing them perform live whenever I have the chance. I am thrilled to join the team and look forward to contributing to the company's mission while making a positive difference in the lives of the people we serve.
