Hi, I’m Hector! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from California State University, San Bernardino, and several years of experience working with children and youth through my work as a Registered Behavior Technician, coach, and educator. I’ve always enjoyed working with people and building genuine connections, which is one of the things I find most rewarding about what I do.

As a Recreation Coach with Self Determined Futures, I’m excited to combine my professional experience with my passion for recreation and helping others become more independent and engaged in their communities. I’m a very outgoing and active person who loves sports, the outdoors, camping, and exploring new places. I enjoy finding activities that match each person’s interests and personality while helping them build confidence, independence, and social skills. I believe recreation should be fun, welcoming, and meaningful, and I love seeing people try something new, discover an activity they enjoy, and grow along the way.
